Official Opening of the New office of Nabatieh Department of Economy and Trade
h.e.the Minister for Economy and Trade and Finance, Dr. Demyanos Kattar officially opens new office for the Department of Economy and Trade in Nabatieh
On Tuesday, 17th May 2005, Minister Kattar officially opened the new office in Nabatieh. The Department of Nabatieh as well as that of other branches in Saida, Zahleh and Tripoli, are now electronically linked to the central administration of the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Beirut."This is a very significant development as it marks further improvements in the services provided by the Ministry to the regions and not concentrating on the capital."
Minister Kattar thanked USAID not only for their valuable financial contribution for the accomplishment of this project, but also for the way this was done, as it induced the Lebanese public institutions to keep up with developments and good practices of international organizations fostering transparency and accountability.
