SME Support Unit
Objective
To design and establish an appropriate SME Support Unit structure that will implement the Programme and develop the capacity to support the ongoing development of the SME sector in Lebanon.
Contents
• Build capacity of the team (training, missions, etc…)
• Obtain access to international best practice
• Put in place an effective web site
• Create public / private dialogue committees
• Enhance coordination among players in the SME field

Progress to date
Members of the SME Unit have been receiving technical assistance from Team of EU experts. Capacity building has included visits to other countries to view international best practice in support of SMEs. Study tours to Jordan, Ireland, Belgium, England and Italy have taken place.
