Foreign Commercial Companies
It is required of each foreign company wishing to do business in Lebanon
to inform the Ministry of Economy and Trade in a formal document (Arabic Section) prior to
registering in the Commercial Registrar.

changes conducted at the Commercial Registrar (not a unit of this ministry).
The number of companies is a cumulative total where records start as
early as 1920.

Estimating the cost of publication in the official Gazette and issuing the payment order for company registration.
As of February 1, 2007, the Companies’ Department at the Ministry of Economy and Trade shall exclusively undertake the tasks of estimating the cost of publication in the official Gazette and issuing the payment order for companies registration without the need for applicants to go to the Official Gazette Registry.
