Minister Bisat meets with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation

Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Bisat, met with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation headed by Ernesto Ramirez Rigo, where discussions tackled the Fund’ remarks on the draft law for Reorganizing/Restructuring the Banking Sector in Lebanon (the Bank Resolution Law) in addition to the draft law on Restoring Financial Order and Recovering Deposits.

Discussions also tackled the structural reforms while assuring Lebanon’ determination to reach an agreement on a program with the Fund in compliance with the Lebanese Government’ policies while considering a well-thought-out balance with the social and economic requirements and maintaining financial and monetary stability.
